NEVER GIVE UP

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by your troubles. Felt like you had a target on your back and the hits just kept on coming.  Maybe you can relate to these words:

vs. 6-8 “Oh, that I had wings like a dove; that I would fly away and rest! I would fly far away to the quiet of the wilderness. How quickly I would escape – far from this wild storm of hatred.”

Having many trials can be exhausting to cope with. I think many of us have felt like escaping our messy life at one time or another - the struggle is real, and it can wear a person down.  We all have different ways we have used to cope or escape; but I’ve never found one Lindor chocolate to be successful in solving my problems, it was just a distraction. I truly want my first response to be going to God with my heartaches and trials. I want to go to Him first for peace and direction.  Then, after I’ve gone to God, I can have that Lindor and let it remind me of how good & kind God is, after all he created the cacao tree, and it is definitely good!!

We can have confidence in the fact that even if everything that could go wrong seems to currently be going wrong, God will never, ever, ever abandon us.  We may not always feel the tangible presence of God during our trials, but He is always intimately close to those who love Him.

David says: “I will call on God, and the Lord will rescue me…..I cry out in my distress, and the Lord hears my voice.  He ransoms me and keeps me safe……….Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you.  He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.” (VS. 16, 17, 22)

When we refuse to lose faith no matter what is thrown at us, we can be assured that God will keep us safe (safe does not mean there will be no pain in life, it means we will get to the other side of the pain).  When we give our burdens to HIM, He will take care of us.  We are to do as David did,

“Morning, noon and night I cry out….and the Lord hears my voice”.

God is for you, not against you.  He is always fighting for you.  He will not let go of you so don’t ever let go of Him. He will see you to the other side of your trials, that’s how good He is.  Never give up.

Declaration: I expect to recognize the goodness of God, even in the difficult times
